Our dedicated husband and wife team have been proudly serving Sudbury and area for over 33 years. We have seen a lot, researched a lot and experimented a lot (on our own of course)! We are the shop you can trust!
At Ultrashine we know first hand how the Northern Ontario very long, cold, messy winters and steamy summers can wreak havoc on our vehicles. Whether you are driving off the lot with a brand new car or would like to restore your current one, we’ve got you covered.
Ceramic Coating or Waxing and Undercoating your vehicle are the two most important processes to protect and ultimately increase the resale value of your vehicle, this also keeps it looking great for the duration of time you own it.
We are very proud to be able to use our own personal vehicles to back up our work. (they say proof is in the pudding) We have a thirteen year old truck and a seven year old truck. We invite you to come and see for yourself what our products and services can do for you.
If you look further into our website you will notice our videos and photos are not professionally done, (we are definitely not videographers)! We believe that documenting personal findings is the best way to show our products during everyday life.
We want you to feel confident in the products we use on your vehicle, this is one reason we try everything on our own vehicles before we offer it to our customers.
We're committed to providing a stress-free experience to both new and returning customers. We understand how busy life is and we do our very best to get your vehicle back to you as quickly as the job allows.

Ceramic Coating ultimately protects your vehicle like no other protective coating can. This coating offers extreme water and dirt repellency, as well as surface slickness. The combination of not having to wash your car so often or so aggressively, and the swirl resistance of the Serum offers unparalleled surface protection. Ceramic coating will not fix or hide scratches, it is solely to protect your paint.
The purpose of the protectant or Ceramic is to provide a sacrificial layer to protect the clear coat from damage such as scratching, fading, acid rain, bug splatter and bird droppings. All these things potentially decrease the car’s resale value.
Your car is subject to daily abuse from sun, pollution and dirt – a combination that, with time, will dull and roughen your exterior finish.
Being in Northern Ontario, our winter roads are polluted with potholes that are filled with loose asphalt...this ends up splashing up our vehicles and sticking to the paint...a regular wash will not remove it. In the hot summer months, tree sap is a common culprit that won’t wash off with a regular cleaning.
We remove all this excess grime that has built up on your paint and then proceed to coating it.
Please visit our Ultrashine Facebook page to view many of our videos.
Buffing is the removal or diminishing of scratches in your paint. Throw away everything Dad ever taught you about polishing your car, because the rules have changed dramatically in the past 10 years. Due to environmental awareness, almost all cars rolling off the assembly line today are water-based urethanes. This means it’s easier to scratch and more difficult to buff out.
At Ultrashine we have a three step process that consists of Compounding, Polishing and finishing off with a Ceramic Coating or Wax. Compounding removes or diminishes the surface scratches, Polishing brings back the shine and Ceramic Coating or Wax will protect your paint.

Before we wax your vehicle, we remove all this excess grime that has built up on your paint and then proceed to waxing it.
Next time you wash your car, try sliding your hand down the bottom half of your doors...it will feel like sand and tiny rocks are stuck to your paint, this is road tar. Or on the top surfaces such as your hood or trunk, you will feel something similar which is tree sap. It is important to keep up with the removal of these contaminants to maintain the shine of your vehicle. Many people try to remove it themselves and end up damaging their paint. Give us a call so we can help.
Your undercoating is only as good as the person applying it! Bart has 17 years experience undercoating and is the only person at Ultrashine that does it. We go to great lengths to ensure your vehicle stays free of drips, runs or overspray. We go the extra mile to deliver a clean affordable product that won’t leave you frustrated with a mess. Durashield undercoating is a clear/caramel colour that won’t harden or peel, it stays tacky like toffee.
It does not harm paint, rubber, plastic, computer components or the electric circuitry of the vehicle. It is applied in a draft free area to make sure there is no overspray on your vehicle. Bart sprays in a very well lit area and wears a headlamp to make sure no areas are over looked.
We have always asked that customers leave their vehicle with us in the shop the night before their appointment, not because we want to inconvenience them, it’s what’s best for the vehicle.
This ensures your vehicle is dry and warm when it is sprayed in the morning. If you drive in on a rainy day, your undercarriage will be wet, not a good idea when you are applying an oily substance. Even if the night is cold but not wet and you drive your car in to a warm garage, your undercarriage will sweat from going from cold to warm, again you don’t want to be spraying all the damp metal.
Over the years we have come to understand that there are many different opinions as to where and when your undercoating should be sprayed. If you have any concerns, you are welcome to specify certain areas you think should be done or need special attention. We also encourage customers to pay us a visit and see the product themselves.
